My wife and I cruise about 2 times per year so we are not inexperienced cruisers.
The issues started during embarkation when we were told that our negative Covid test 3 days prior to embarkation was one day too early even though the Princess site said otherwise. We had to take another test at the cruise terminal which was paid for by Princess. Not a big deal, just an inconvenience and unnecessary upset.
At our first port, Cabo San Lucas, we were well aware of the necessity for tenders. We went to get our tender ticket 10 minutes after they were allegedly available at 11 am. We were group #47. We waited an hour. Group 29 was called. We then left the waiting area giving our group #47 tickets to a young couple who were holding group #67. That is a fact. Group #47 was finally called at 1:10 pm, 2 hours had we waited. In my opinion this is unacceptable. If a cruise line cannot do any better then a 2 hour wait for a tender, they should seek another port.
A terrible balcony cabin. There was no sitting area. If you wanted to watch TV, which was excellent, you had to sit on the bed. The balcony was so narrow that if you said on a chair, your knees were at the railing. You could not open the lounge chair.
We could not visit Cabo as the wait for a tender was 2 hours! Totally unacceptable!
