Because of Covid, this was the 3rd time we scheduled this cruise. We were elated to be able to travel with Viking again. Because the 1st cruise was cancelled, we were given the option to get our money back or accept a 25% voucher if we rescheduled for a later date, which is what we decided to do. It was a generous offer and we never regretted it. The additional funds allowed us to travel to Europe in Business Class and add a pre-trip to our cruise. The ship had fewer than 50 guests as it was one of the first cruises open during the pandemic. The ship was immaculate and the safety protocols in place were good Passengers and crew members were respectful of these measures. It was actually a wonderful cruise and because so few travelers were in Europe there were no crowds! Everywhere we went, including all the shops and restaurants in all countries, the locals were happy to see us. We were on the Grand European 15 day cruise with a pre-trip to Prague. It was our 5th cruise with Viking.

Cabin Review

Veranda Suite

We were in the Veranda Suite. It is spacious and well suited to a couple. Plenty of room for clothes, etc. It is a true 2 room suite and we usually book this class. We enjoy the balcony and the decor.

Port Reviews

Budapest

It was one of the few Viking River cruises we had not yet been on.
