In the midst of the pandemic, we were thrilled to learn that Viking was offering an ocean cruise to Iceland for vaccinated passengers. My husband and I were so tired of staying home that we couldn't wait to sign up. It was a wonderful way to seeing an exciting country as we navigated around the country clockwise and visited such interesting ports. At several locations there were more people on the ship than the population of the towns we visited. Everyone was so welcoming and happy to have us in Iceland. Accommodations on our ship were excellent. Our cabin was spacious and had plenty of storage. The bathroom was quite nice and the amenities were excellent. The food on board the ship was excellent, so many choices in the buffet windows. We really enjoyed the split pea soup for a late night snack in Mamsen's and the great burgers at the Pool Grille. Our included tours were all fascinating and gave us wonderful glimpses of Iceland and its culture.
