My wife and I are experienced ocean cruisers but we had never been on a river cruise. We were slightly nervous about river cruising and nervous about COVID protocols (I nearly died from COVID-19 early in 2020). The COVID protocols were OUTSTANDING in our view – tested before leaving the US, tested before getting on the Ingvi, tested every morning, and tested the last day before our post-cruise stay (with results delivered to the hotel to enable re-entry into the US). Our stay prior to the cruise in Prague was wonderful and our stay afterwards in Budapest was equally so. The cruise was marvelous: extremely nice crew, lovely stateroom, delicious food, plentiful beverages, and fun excursions. In addition, Viking took care of everything, including getting us to our first hotel in spite of having missed our connection in Frankfurt. We have already booked another cruise (Portugal & Spain this time) and are exploring not only other river cruises but also Viking's ocean cruises, too. We LOVED it!

Cabin Review
French Balcony
Having always had a balcony on ocean cruises, we were only mildly apprehensive about booking a French balcony for a river cruise. We need not have been concerned – it was perfect! Our stateroom attendant took wonderful care of us. We loved our stateroom and plan to do at least one river cruise per year with Viking ... in addition to a possible ocean cruise per year. Thank you, Viking!
