As the title states the only worry we had was boarding the plane in Springfield Missouri. Viking is waiting for you just outside the security area at the Basel airport. We booked a the two day pre-trip extension in Basel and the hostess was amazing going out of her way to take care of our needs. We give her a grade of A plus. After our extension we were bused to our ship where we were greeted by their very professional staff.

This ship is well organized and very clean. The ship is staffed with friendly professional staff that made sure our needs were met. For example a young woman at the front desk took care of transfer from one Viking cruise that we were on to the Viking cruise starting in Paris. After 15 minutes she booked our train ticket from Amsterdam to Paris along with a transfer to the Amsterdam train station.

The meals onboard were excellent and almost every night the Chef came out and announced the specials. Read more
