Could there be a better way to explore southern France, from the Lyon to Avignon other than a VIking River Cruise? I don't think so. "Explore the world in comfort", says Viking, and it's true! Everything needed for a relaxing cruise holiday is here: soothing, Scandinavian-inspired longship décor, world-class cuisine, impeccable service from friendly, well-trained staff and interesting shore excursions included in your booking. Intriguing optional tours and educational experiences are also available: hunting for truffles, learning about chèvre cheese, visiting a Beaujolais winery (with wine tasting, of couse!), riding the historic steam train through the spectacular scenery of the Ardeche region in Tournon, or painting your own Van Gogh.
Viking manages every detail to ensure an enjoyable and enriching cruise experience, both on board and in port - no line-ups, no reservations for shipboard dining and no hassles. One can truly relax and leave it all in their hands.
One wants for nothing else. We are already looking forward to our next Viking River Cruise vacation.
"F" cabin staterooms are the least expensive available on the ship, but don't let that put you off. Despite being on the lower level of the ship, every cabin has a window, though the view may be less than inspiring if your window is on the docking side. Otherwise, the rooms are the same size and layout as the more expensive rooms with similar amenities. You won't spend much time in the room other than sleeping anyways: there is always something else to do or somewhere to be - either on the ship or off.
