We choose this cruise partially because it was a longer duration, 18, with about 5 sea days. We knew there could be potential challenges do to COVID but had confidence in ourselves and Viking to make the best of it. We (passengers and Viking) were thrown several last-minute changes by the Argentine and Uruguayan government. I was very impressed in Viking responded very quickly and professionally to these significant changes. One example being that at approximately 2:00 PM the day before we were to board in Buenos Aires the Argentian government decided they would not let us board in Argentina. Viking then transported us all to Montevideo, Uruguay by ferry. The coordination it took to arrange the transportation, but I would think more difficult was the immigration and Covid testing they set up in a hotel ballroom in Buenos Aires. The staff was amazing handling all the passengers with there various issues. I was amazed and highly impressed. After boarding the ship, quarantining in our stateroom until released by the Uruguayan government. Again Viking handled it so well by allowing us to order from The Dinning Room menu in addition to the room service menu. My wife and look at that as a fun time. We needed to rest and the time went by quickly. We were also impressed at Vikings response to our safety and that every step of the way they kept us separated until every passengers on board testing was completed.

We then started our cruise portion. The ship had low occupancy and we felt like we had a private yacht with a few of soon to be best friends on board. We ended up with many more sea days then planned. The crew did an amazing job at providing all types of opportunities on board. The time when by far too quickly and we enjoyed every moment (well after we got on the ship)

The ship is beautiful. I cannot say enough about the crew, professional, friendly, proficient in there duty, etc...............

Cabin Review

The cabin was very spacious. We have rebooked the same category on our next two Viking cruises.
