After being pretty isolated during the pandemic, I wanted to travel. And I’d never been on an ocean cruise. I chose Viking because of three previous river cruises with Viking, which I considered exceptional. The ocean cruise was just amazing. Iceland is spectacular, but so is Viking Sky. I was pretty overwhelmed by the beauty of the ship, and I loved the size. My husband never wanted to do a bigger ship cruise, but Viking seems the perfect size. If you want non stop entertainment, this is not your cruise. But if you want a low key, educational (if you want) and relaxing cruise, Viking fits the bill. I could find nothing to criticize, though I admit I’m easy going. That being said, I’ve had travel experiences which I’ve found unsuccessful. This was an awesome success. The stateroom was very nice and had everything I needed (DV2). The staff were always helpful, friendly and expert at their jobs. The food was delicious and varied, with many choices of restaurants. Things went smoothly from start to finish. I’ve already booked two more cruises, and hope to book more.

Iceland is wonderful. The Godafoss Falls were spectacular. Well worth the added excursions.
