Sailed out of San Juan which was a great port to start with. I have read mixed reviews about this ship and was not as excited for the ship as I was for the Southern Caribbean itinerary. However, it was a great ship and I found it very easy to navigate. I've been on the Breakaway and really liked that ship too.
Food review- My first stop on embarkation day was to O'Sheehans. That was meh...in my opinion but I have had some great food there before. I was slightly disappointed with Le Bistro but the service was exceptional as always. Cagney's was phenomenal this time around. On the Breakaway, I had better food in Le Bistro than Cagney's. I finally got to La Cucina this cruise and saddened that it was basically empty bc that was an excellent dining experience and fantastic cuisine. The MDR and Taste were surprisingly good too!
Cabin review - stayed in studio this time - complete fun but not sure why other solo cruisers don't join in the fun as well. I like to do my own thing but it is always nice to make new cruise friends. The cabin was good. The beds are bigger than the breakaway studios. Mine had a queen as opposed to a full sized bed on the breakaway.
Excellent. Did the Land and Sea tour but you must like taking an open boat to the sea tour boat. Aruba was nice, clean(from what I saw) and tour guides were nice.
Did the Discover Curacao tour. The tour drove you to an old plantation type home which was boring to me but took you around Curacao to the distillery which was ok, should have been more time there than the borish house. the tour guide was nice but she kept us later so we were late getting back.
Five stars for flying in the day before. Skip going to the port and do other things. Then take the excursion that includes being driven back to the airport. The excursion is basically just the fort and a couple of minor stops.
