Sail Date: Mar 2022

As loyal Royal Caribbean customers we wanted to sail on the Wonder of the Sea as it was a new ship and we like the Oasis class ships. Having sailed on all the Oasis class ships I think this ship is the best. It is very similar to the other ships but most of the changes we saw were on deck 15 and 16. The Windjammer has been expanded and offers a lot more room between the serving counters and more seating area. The sports deck appeared to be different but very nice. It did have the big slide going from deck 16 down to deck 6 and it also had 2 water slides plus a small kiddie slide. The was a lot to do for families. On deck 16 in the front of the ship is a new specialty restaurant called Hooked which served primarily seafood. The Solarium pool area was changed slightly from other Oasis class ships. All in all it is a great ship and lots to do for families.

There were a couple of areas that I think still need improvement. It took us 90 minutes to get on board on the first day. The line waiting to get in the reception center was out into the street. We had a check-in time of 12 noon but there were people ahead of us that had a check-in time of 2 and 3 PM but it didn't look like it mattered. We are Diamond Plus but the only special check-ins were for Suite and Pinnacle people.

One night we ate in Chops and the vegetables were cold and my steak was not done as I had requested. When the manager asked me if we were satisfied and we told him the problem he offered to get us another meal but we refused since we had already eaten. The next night in the dining room the head waiter came to our table and said that the Chops manager wanted us to be happy and offered to give us new fili migon steaks at no cost but we did not take it but it was a nice of them to offer.

Cabin Review

Cabin was great and close to the rear elevators which we like since those are the primary elevators you use to get food.
