An unforgettable experience

I need to preface this review by saying I am not an experienced "cruiser". In fact, this was my first cruise. But if that epic experience was anything to go by, then it most definitely will not be my last!

From the moment you step aboard the Scenic Eclipse, you are transported to another place. An ultra-luxurious, thoughtfully designed expedition yacht, that is clever in both its ability to navigate the “Drake lake” and yet designed in such a way that it envelops you in all the decadence you would expect from a 6-star property. Stepping aboard felt like arriving back at my favourite hotel, but with a twist. There’s so much to discover and enjoy – whether it’s dining in one of their delicious restaurants (there are 9 brilliant ones to choose from), relaxing in the infrared sauna after a day ashore or snuggling up with a book in the library, it’s all so easily accessible.

Before I talk about the expeditions – which are out of this world, I need to comment on the team of people onboard who exceeded every possible expectation. Whether it was ensuring my favourite drink was ready on arrival for pre-dinner drinks at the bar, or being greeted by name on the second day – it’s these special little touches that almost become normal on the Scenic Eclipse.

Cabin Review

Huge room with beautiful plush furniture and the most incredible view from the balcony. Stunning bathroom with deep bath and shower had great water pressure. Walk-in wardrobe with loads of room to hang jackets etc and lots of extra draws – storage was never an issue. A lovely, calm room to come back to after a day exploring.
