We knew in advance that the ship would not be at the usual terminal, too big to fit at the pier the Majestic used last month. Parked near pier 93 and got in line. Everyone was shuttled to pier 50 by the WW2 ship Lane Victory. Security was done at pier side, and on the ship we went.
Talk about new ship smell, just like a new car. Very subdued colors, lots of tan and beige. Balcony railings are now metal, saves on varnishing the wooden railings and on trees, I guess.
Went to the Salty Dog Grill for lunch, the burgers were undercooked and the wife did not like the chicken breast. Did not get out luggage until 515, no reason why it took so long.
of course brand new. Still miss the couch that Carnival has. Since Lido deck was above us, we could hear some people in heels walking. Nor really bad or annoying.
