Recently back from a Celebrity cruise and thought an update would be appropriate for any who may read. First, the capacity of the cruise was reduced in total passengers by Celebrity to about 1/3 of the ship. The embarkation process flowed very smoothly for all who had their pre-test 48 hr in advance negative Covid test. Once aboard it was easy to see that the ship would not be crowded and the crew were glad we were there. Honestly, we also were glad to be back sailing again and so were the others onboard from their comments.

The observed sanitation and safety measures Celebrity had in place were very welcomed by all. The buffet was served by the crew which added a bit more comfort to me, and also, the clean up of the tables after guests were finished their meal and departed was, very satisfactory and fast. The crew and Celebrity are to be commended.

Many were disappointed as our first stop, originally Key West, was changed to Bimini Bahamas and the weather the first two days didn't co-operate at all. As we approached the Bahamas the weather was deemed too bad to attempt to dock the ship safely and the stop was cancelled giving us another day at sea. We then headed for Falmouth, Jamaica and were able to port there, which turned out to be a great stop for many.

Cabin Review

Sunset Verandah

The sunset veranda is a great cabin on the rear of the ship nestled amongst two sky suites on the outside corners of the Reflection. It has the room that a standard balcony room offers, however, the 180 degree view from the rear, sporting the prop wash and horizon view, (180 degrees) (sun rise and set, moonrise) are a pleasure that you should try, at least once.
