We chose this cruise to celebrate my husbands birthday. First time allowing them to assign a room later. NEVER AGAIN!!! When we entered the room we were greeted by gnats - who brought their friends along and stayed with us the entire trip. The room had a damp smell that never went away. The first night I was awakened abt 2 am or so by LOD banging above us. Sounds of metal rolling around and lord knows what else. Horrible. Continued until abt 5/5:30am. Night two, happened again. Called guest services they had no idea. They send ear plugs. Happened every night. Mid cruise we noticed the floor between the wall and bed was wet. They sent someone, no idea where it came from. No communication. 2 days we left a fan blowing on it to dry. We requested to move. Next day they said we could. They couldn't guarantee we would be moved away from the noise and gnats. With 2 days remaining, we stayed to avoid the additional work/time with maybe having the same issues.

Food was ok, often luke warm at best. Entertainment wasn't all that entertaining. Carnival has done better in the past. Wasted trip - being tired all the time. Disappointed in Carnival's "Magic".
