I have taken over 150 cruises and this one ranks way down the list. First the good points. Beautiful ship and excellent crew, full stop. Now for the disappointing points. The food was way below HAL normal quality with poor menus and low quality food in the main dining room. As for the lunch buffet, it was the same food every day and very little for anyone who is a healthy eater. The whole of the buffet line (apart from one station) was not glassed in and open to everyone touching the plates and the sneezes and coughs from a few people who did not cover their mouths. I spoke with the hotel manager and he said it does need to be corrected. I also spoke with the food manager and he told me they are working on new menus for Europe but that did not help anyone seeking healthy food.
As for entertainment, apart from the comedian on the last night it was nonexistent. 3 nights of films, 1 about HAL history and 2 older ones about Planet earth, seen on past cruises. These are morning presentation and not for showtime. Also, 2 modern dance evening that are best suited to an off Broadway review not a mature audience.
The Lincon center was closed all week due to the musicians off sick with covid. Also, the other music walk venues are close the staircase from the casino and they started smoking again the week I was on and the smoke drifted into deck two (and 3 shops) so it was impossible to sit and listen to the blues or rock n roll groups, which was too loud anyway.
