We chose this cruise because of the Covid safety measures (Brits only) and the itinerary. We were so disappointed. The standard of food at night in the main dining room was bland and poorly executed. I would class it as 2-3*. Breakfast was fine, we only ate breakfast in the dining rooms and did not use the buffett. We had a few meals in the Glass House, this was a big improvement but should you have to pay extra to get a decent meal when on a cruise? Many, many guests were complaining about several aspects of this cruise. The entertainment was abysmal. Most evenings there was very little on offer, by 9pm it was a silent ship. People were wandering around with nothing to do. We were excited when, on one evening only, The Mentalist, (supposedly similar to Derren Brown) was advertised. It was cringeworthy, all of his attempts went wrong, he kept saying 'Oh that didn't quite work, hopefully the next thing will be better'. It wasn't. People were walking out in droves, shockingly bad. We booked the Retreat for the whole two weeks, unfortunately most days either one or both restroom/toilet facilities were out of order, sometimes for the whole day. On one occasion I walked in to a toilet floor swimming in urine, with the toilet overflowing. Very unpleasant experience. Our balcony cabin was the smallest we have ever experienced, with only one bedside table. The bathroom was tiny too.The best thing about this cruise was the lovely staff in the Retreat, Gilbert and Kevanas really went the extra mile. Unfortunately, I don't think I would book with P&O again, back to Princess or Celebrity for us now.

Cabin Review

Smallest balcony cabin we have encountered, only 1 bedside table, around 18 inches gap my side of the bed. Teeny bathroom.
