long time HAL fan in spite of policy against folding bikes on board. finishing a FULL trip, very crowded ship. Dining room remains excellent, staterooms are significantly smaller, bar service is slow to non existent, and other services are sketchy at best. long lines everywhere, staff seem to be trying to figure everything out for the first time. This is a lovely boat with great potential, but suggest giving it a year to figure things out. btw, the boarding process is MUCH improved,. on a sea day, there is no way to find a place on lido deck, inside or out, and folks were taking lunch to their rooms because nowhere to sit on open decks. The coffee shop is a welcome addition, generally accessible. Uncertainty regarding luggage on getting off the boat..inquiries at guest services get the response "we'll let you know" without ever getting a real answer, making planning tough...overall, this boat, though lively, does NOT have the typical HAL sense of service and class...feels much more like a budget line.
substantially smaller than inside cabins on other HAL ships
