Have cruised many times but this was our first cruise on a Cunard ship. Arrived at Southampton docks - testing very quick - results very quick but car-park drop off area busy. Welcome greeting as we stepped onto the ship and given directions to our balcony cabin - very good and roomy.
All meals good. We had breakfast in the Buffet which was a one way system with food served onto our plates by staff. We had lunch and dinner in the Britannia Restaurant where meals were served at our table - helpful and prompt service. We did try the Afternoon tea (on the dance floor) but we thought the tables were too close together.
The itinerary changed due to bad weather. Our first port of call should have been Vigo and then onto Lisbon staying overnight but the ship had to slow down due to rough seas so we lost our slot and went straight to Lisbon. The Bay of Biscay was really rough so no overnight stay and back to Vigo overnight instead. We would have liked more time in Lisbon but we did manage to have a tour around the city in a Tuk Tuk and sampled the famous Portuguese custard tarts in a cafe. Not a lot to do in Vigo.
