Please don't hate on me but our cruise was sad. Not sure if it was due to new port, Post-Covid, or what. I am not a complainer and usually just go with the flow, but this was pitiful. Just got off of Spirit this week. Took 3 hours to board. We actually were about 25th in a line of about 500 when a Carnival worker ( very nice older gentleman) told us to get in another line since we had all of our stuff pre-loaded on Verify. We went in that line and was stopped by an extremely rude Carnival lady who told us to go to the back of the long line that we were not supposed to be there. I told her that the gentleman put us in the line and she said he was wrong and that we had to go to the back of the line. She then left us and the other 6 or 7 people he had moved standing there, to SET him straight. l told her I was not getting in the back of the line since we were close to the front of it. She never responded. Luckily a nice couple let us back into the original line. After several hours we were on board. We were supposed to leave port at 4 but it was about 3 hours later.
I am just going to state a few of the things I experienced. The ice machines were out the entire trip. People had to dig ice out of a bucket sitting beside them. Most of the time it was half water, half ice. Very unsanitary during these times. Only one coffee machine worked the entire time. The lines were horrible. I felt so sorry for the pizza worker that I wanted to go back and help him. ONE man, took orders, made pizza, then came out and cut and served it. The line was 20 deep especially after 9 pm when nothing else was open except the sandwich place. First night at dinner we went to the restaurant and was told we were in the wrong spot and had to go upstairs. We went upstairs and was told we had to go downstairs. Took them forever to actually find our table. Went to breakfast in dining room on the first day and waited 1.5 hours for food. I ordered pancakes with pecans, caramel sauce and ricotta cheese. Got 3 plain cold pancakes. I asked where the other stuff was and was told they were out (it was the first day).
Our TV remote never worked, our air conditioner never worked until last night when they finally came to fix it. (knob was completely broken off)
