We cruised back to back on the Celebrity Apex 2/26/22 thru 3/12/22. We put in a move up bid for both cruises and were surprised to be moved from a Sky Suite to the Iconic Suite for the first week and to a Celebrity Suite for the second week. My first thought about the Iconic Suite—good grief! Do we need to go out and buy new matching luggage so it doesn’t look like the Beverly Hillbillies are moving in?
We were escorted to the starboard Iconic Suite by the lovely Retreat Host Denisa. We met out retreat host, Dino who was at our beck and call all week! My favorite line from Dino: “For you, there is no “no.” Specialty restaurants were free for us and Dino made all the reservations happen at exactly the times we wanted. The space is enormous! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, our own hot tub on the expansive deck…..it was spectacular! The master bed faces the ocean with a wide swath of windows to gaze at the moon and the stars. The TV in the master comes down out of the ceiling. Dino had his own butler’s pantry kitchen with a full sized refrigerator and cabinets and drawers with glassware, dishes, and cutlery. There was a Peloton bike for us to use (it was great for hanging swimsuits to dry—ha!). The master bath was ginormous with separate vanities for each and a jetted tub bigger than the hot tub! The shower was also enormous but the marble tiled floor was slightly scary when shampoo and soap hit the floor! I held on to that safety bar for sure!
We absolutely loved Le Petit Chef not only for the animation but mostly for the food! Delish! We ate at Le Grand Bistro for lunch a few times and were delighted with the mussels, the escargot presentation, the onion soup, and the flan torte for dessert. We also enjoyed Raw on Five and Eden. Not exactly delighted with Fine Cut or the Rooftop Garden. They were fine—nothing to cheer about.
