My husband booked this cruise for our son’s Spring Break. I have been on numerous cruises before, but it was his first cruise so he was very excited to experience it. We went to the Dominican Republic, Grand Turk, and the Bahamas, and had a magical time zip-lining, horseback riding, shopping, and swimming with sharks. The excursions were perfectly executed and made the experience feel safe and exhilarating.

The process of boarding and disembarkment went very smoothly, as sometimes it can be quite long and unpleasant. They have a great routine and system in which to handle all the guests quickly and diligently. That allows for a great start to the cruise adventure.

The ship is spotless at all times, which is remarkable, knowing how many people are on board. The staff are always incredibly nice and go above and beyond to make the experience the best it can be. I know it is a tough job and it must be extremely difficult to work so hard yet always rise above and never show anything but joy and kindness. THAT is what makes the cruise what it is. Without the hard work and amazing attitudes of the staff, it would not be as enjoyable, so thank you to ALL the incredible staff members! An example of this was when we had a very unfortunate “Man Overboard” incident. This is something that rarely happens, I know, but is very alarming and upsetting to all on board. The Carnival staff and Captain handled the situation with such professionalism, diligence, and respect to the family and everyone on board. They took all the measures to quickly execute the procedures for such an incident and remarkably found the individual within a couple of hours. Sadly, it had an unfortunate conclusion, but appeared to support the family in extraordinary ways. They balanced respect and urgency of the situation with a continued “Keep Calm and Carry On” attitude for the concerned guests on board. Read more
