We were a bit disappointed with our recent cruise on Caribbean Princess. There were multiple issues along the way that I will outline and will highlight the positives. We left out of Fort Lauderdale. The cruise we booked was for 6 nights and included port of Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Princess Cays. About 2 weeks prior to leaving, Princess cancelled Grand Cayman as since the pandemic they have not been open for ships. Princess knew this and Grand Cayman is still not open. They chose to cancel this stop with short notice so we decided to continue the cruise but they could have moved to another port and chose not to.

The embarkation process was also a bit rough. We arrived at the terminal and fortunately there was not much waiting. They were organized and got people through the process very quickly. We realized when we went to check our passports and vaccine cards, we left our medallions in our luggage, which we had left with the porter. This was 100% our fault, however, Princess staff did not handle this well. We told the check in person this. He told us no worries, that we could board the ship as we had all other documentation and they could make us new ones. We then made our way to the final check point and security told us we could NOT board without medallion. So conflicting processes. We then had to sit and wait in the terminal for an hour until someone finally got new medallions printed for us.

Once on board we entered our stateroom. The bathroom had clearly not been fully cleaned. There was soap stuck in the sink, there was trash in the trash can and an open bottle of half drank water along with dirty washclothes and towels. I called our room steward and he came and did the cleaning.
