Sail Date: Mar 2022

This was our first time with MSC. We had previously sailed with Carnival before the pandemic. Embarkation was easy. My mother in law is disabled so once she got a wheelchair, we were taken right in. Our cabin was too small for four adults although we did enjoy the balcony and I liked the shower. It was also too far from the elevators and the hallways are narrow so it was a long claustrophobic walk every time we went out. We had ordered chocolate covered strawberries and never got them. When we complained, they said they ran out so they gave us our money back. That's understandable but they could have told us. We shouldn't have had to ask.

The food was okay. The buffet served a lot of the same items everyday but they always had one or two different things each day and they serve you the drinks. We were a bit disappointed with the service in the dining room though. First we had asked for 5:30 dining and were assigned the 7:30 so because of the timing, we missed the show the first night. On that first night, we were not allowed to enter for at least 20 minutes because apparently the 5:30 had started late. My MIL was in agony having to stand that long and the usher was completely indifferent, even after I asked her if they could at least bring us a chair. On a couple of ocasions we got the wrong food. Other times they forgot a dish. Also, the portions are a bit small but I get that's European style. The final straw was when my MIL spilled some of her soda and they just folded the table cloth over the puddle and expected her to eat like that.

We did like the shows and other entertainment. We like trivia and they have lots of that. We used two of the three pools and we tried the 4D movies. Those were awsome.

Cabin Review

We enjoyed the balcony but the cabin was too small for four adults.

Port Reviews

Nassau

We didn't desembark this last time but we have been there before. It's a beautiful island full of history and things to do. If you have little ones, I suggest the aquarium at Atlantis Hotel.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve

If you love beaches, you will want to disembark here.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

I took off a star because a lady at baggage drop off was rude to us. We pulled into an empty bay and she made us pull out and pull into another bay. There was absolutely no need for that.

Other than that, everyone else was amazing. When we desembarked, my husband had my passport and he had gone out ahead of me while I looked for a missing suitcase. When we realized I didn't have my passport, he talked to someone outside and they sent someone to come get me at baggage claim. That person escorted me to Customs where they used facial recognition to get me through so I was on my way in no time.
