This was our first cruise going thru the Panama Canal. What a wonder! Leaving San Francisco turned out to be very efficient. Princess crew waiting at baggage to direct you to waiting room and bus. First port was Cabo San Lucas where we took the whale watching excursion. Turned out to be our favorite! Large clean boat with great crew. Tip: best area to be is top front of boat to spot whales. Excursion in Costa Rica was excellent too. The aerial tram, butterfly garden and sloth sanctuary. Very nice. The day spent going thru the new locks at the Panama Canal was informative and relaxing. Excursion in Cartagena was pleasant but HOT. Description was for a sightseeing bus tour but it actually was very much of a walking tour through the Old City. Very nice, but not what we expected. This was our first cruise coming back after the COVID shutdown. Some things have been pared back, but the crew was pleasant, the food was good and we would definitely sail with Princess again.

Cabin Review

Could use some updating like additional electrical outlets. Other than that, it was adequate.

Port Reviews

Cabo San Lucas

Took a whale watching excursion with Caborey cruises through our Princess Cruise Line trip. Very large, clean boat. Excellent crew. The best place to be on the boat in order to view any whales is the front of the boat. We were seat on top in the back. Beautiful views but hard to see the whales.
