This was my first time on Viking however my fourth cruise during COVID. The on-boarding day of was subpar as well as being locked in our room for 9 hours awaiting PCR results. They were totally disorganized compared to Norwegian. The staff was super nice and helpful from food, to bar service, to cleaning and maintenance. Median age for this trip was at least 65 so the entertainment was geared towards them and over early. I really liked the educational talks by the professors. The excursions were really excellent especially during Belize, Duns Fall in Jamaica, the Panama Canal itself was excellent along with Panama City. Lots of little places to read and relax. Additionally the wireless was awful in that I basically could only use when I was in port as it was too slow to read e-mail while on board. The food is healthier than other cruise lines I have taken in the past but lacked variety. The terminal spa was nice as well. Bathroom in cabin was really nice and boat in general was super clean.
Cabin was functional, clean and I loved the bathroom.
The ruins in Belize were awesome! We visited on a Sunday so we couldn’t really shop or do much else. Our tour guide was phenomenal
Colon itself is unsafe however our tour was to Panama City which was a good spot, with cobble stone streets and we visited a few churches. Old town is a adorable
We went to ruins and did a little shopping on our tour. I much preferred the ruins at Belize and one of our party members did the ATV tour and loved it.
We did Duns Falls and loved the excursions. Good shopping as well
The jungle/rain forest tour was complete with fruit tasting. The shopping by the port was excellent and was the best of the cruise.
Boat ride was fun complete with monkeys, iguana, and birds.
