First of all, me and my husband cruise often. We were so excited to get back to cruising after several cancellations the past two years and just in time for our anniversary. What a disappointment it was! The cruise was at full capacity after finding out they had given many guest free or next to nothing prices last minute. They were very short staffed, and this made for horrible service. We had purchased the drink package which was a waste due to the fact you had very long lines at the bars and couldn’t run down a waiter. The food wait times were extreme and the ports were so crowded we left to get back on the boat hoping for better service with less people to find that virtually nothing was open. The cruise staff was overwhelmed and overworked and very unfriendly, except for the ones taking care of our rooms. They have cut corners everywhere they can to save a buck which I turn took away the very ease and atmosphere cruising was all about. The talent on the ship was bad as well. You would have thought this was the very first opening of a ship from Covid, but they have been sailing for months. I have never heard so many complaints and guests saying they were never cruising Carnival again. In the end Carnivals greed of overbooking and minimal staff will in turn cost them good customers like me, my family and many more in the future.
