Sail Date: Dec 2021

I was on the December 19, 2021 sailing. The experience was uneven--some things like the expedition staff were outstanding, and some things like disembarkation day, were dismal. Pre-cruise communications with Atlas were horrible. Antarctica is a 5 star destination. The Expedition staff were 4 star. The onboard experience was 3 star. The included flights to and from Argentina were 2 star, and Atlas organization, back office, communications, and execution of promised luxury experience was 1 star.

The Good--

Henri Wolff and his expedition team were top-notch. Ema, the marine biologist, Carrie the Ornithologist, Chris the Historian, the zodiac guides (Andy and Joaquin in particular) really made the trip great. I loved the L'occitane products in the bathroom. The ship staff were very nice as well. Our butler, Ricardo was excellent. We had two instances of Covid test positives and Atlas handled those well. We were tested during the cruise as well as prior to boarding the charter flight.

Cabin Review

Showers were very good. Bed was very hard and not comfortable for me. Separate living room in the suite was spacious. Closet was open to the bedroom and very small. Two large drawers, a couple of long shelves and a small hanging section for clothes. The balcony was large, but unusable in cold weather destinations.
