Chose this cruise because it is a short flight from my home to LAX. No need for spending a night in a hotel.
Have cruised NCL in the past. The ships are well appointed, the crew always friendly and willing to go the extra mile. They, beyond the cabin steward, somehow manage to remember your name and greet you even in passing.
Deals definitely play a role in choosing the line to cruise. NCL offered a good deal. When I booked, it def was a deal.
Cabin pristine and shower worked better than other ships. Only disappointment is NCL configures the balcony cabins with the bed in the center of the room instead of placed parallel with the sliding glass door. With the bed next to the door, watching tv pairs well with looking out the slider to the beautiful ocean. Have experienced that set up on other lines and makes the balcony view even better.
Snorkel, kayak, and SUP - Cabo Adventures rocked. The raft boat to the site for the water activities was fast and fun. Stopped to view whale sightings on the way to the site. A boat with kayaks and paddle boards was at the site which made for easy transition to the options. Snorkel gear was provided prior to board the raft boat. Crew assisted when needed and took those who chose to area for further fish viewing. Returning to the pier, we saw a few whale sightings and the captain took us in those directions. The captain, guide and photographer did their jobs well and were polite/friendly. FUN
