First time for me on Carnival. Wife's second. Long time cruisers over 25 total. Sitmar, Princess many. Oceania Norwegian, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean many. After reading some not so good reviews on Miracle and my past readings about Carnival in general I didn't expect much on this Cruise. It was a 5 day LA Cabo round trip. The price was cheaper than flying to Cabo so why not. All I can say is that the ship was in some of the best shape of any ship I have ever been on. All bright work was up to Bristol Standards. Carpets all clean and not worn. Everything very very nice. Food was better than I expected from Carnival. Outside food venues were great with many choices. The Guy Fieri burger bar were some of the best burgers I have had on a cruise and land the were cooked to order on sandbagged like most ships. Main dining room was fine. I elected to have the Surf and Turf for an extra $20.00 the lobster was one of the tastiest and properly grilled that i have ever tasted and I know my lobster. The crew was very nice and not overwhelming. Not pushing drinks but were there when you wanted one. All tables were cleaned very quickly unlike some ships and other lines. We had a family emergency and had to leave the ship in Cabo and fly home. Joseph Ballesteros and Jana Cempelova Guest Services helped us much more that what I expected. These two were fantastic. We were able to clear Immigration and clear the ship first and Jana walked us through everything. For an older ship this one was in very very good shape and the Crew was excellent. We did not go to the main show but did go see the Comedian show one night. The comedians were Top notch not your usual cruise ship type. We live in Las Vegas and have seen many and these guys and girls were GREAT> Late show is Adult we went to both shows since first show was so good. Second one hit the ball out of the park. The music and the common areas was very weak. Probably to just starting getting back to normal after Covid. Thanks Carnival and Miracle you exceeded our expectations and we will not hesitate to join you for another cruise if the Itinerary works for us.
We had an inside cabin on deck 5 aft by the kids club The bathroom was much larger then some ships we have been on and water pressure and hot and cold was perfect. Shower curtain did not want to attack you like most of them do. Our bed headboard was on the sea side of the cabin not the usual forward aft configuration. The stabilizers seemed to be not working one night and the ship was rolling side to side pretty hard. Our night stand drawers would slide in and out with the rolling side to side of the ship. The plates in the restaurants were have a hard time staying put also. The stabilizers were fixed the next day but it made you appreciate the way they work. Linens and bedding was just fine. Not fantastic but very nice.
Always a great port. On an overnight they should let you not have to return to the ship so early so you could enjoy the Cabo night life. I guess that cuts into the gambling and drinks on the ship? With the cost of these cruises lower than ever they have to make money anyway they can. But why overnight in a city when you can't enjoy the night life and fine dining
