Overall a wonderful experience with varied weather, scenery and a variety of different places to see. However, the communication from Hurtigruten prior to travel was very poor, many things changed with Covid including the entry regulations in the 2 weeks before we travelled but none of this was communicated to us by the company. We travelled expecting to be tested on arrival, to fill an entry form in, and to provide proof of vaccination. None of which was needed.

The Northbound leg ran to plan and was simply amazing, varied stops and different places to see. The Southbound leg was disrupted by weather so we missed several stops, including all of the significant ones on the return leg which was hugely disappointing. We were not offered any compensation for this and essentially the Southbound leg became a direct ferry home as we only stopped briefly in a handful of places.

The food on board was lovely, although it would have been nice to be able to chose you meal times rather than have these allocated as they often clashed with other things.

Cabin Review

Nice compact cabin with double bed, heating controls very good and shower was excellent. No complaints, all very good
