This was truly a magical experience on the Disney Dream with my family of four (with a 3 year old and 8 month old!) Every single crew member was absolutely phenomenal! Our cabin was very spacious and well maintained. One thing I particularly enjoyed is the focus this cruise line puts on guests and families. Each night at dinner, multiple servers waited on our table and played with/ entertained our infant and 3 year old so we could eat our dinners! There's so much to do and see on this ship that it's truly impossible to fit it all in on one cruise. One thing I loved was the character meet & greets. There were so many characters stationed all around the ship and we got a chance to meet so many characters and have solid, meaningful interaction with them. There is NO WAY we would have been able to meet and interact with as many characters at Walt Disney World so it was very special! The DCL app was very helpful with maps of the ship, entertainment times, character meet & greet schedules, and you can even chat with a member of Guest Services! The only complaint and it's not even a major one, is that the onboard paid WiFi needs improvement so we were pretty much completely disconnected for the entirety of our cruise. The paid WiFi packages are by the MB and they drain so quickly that many webpages wouldn't load. This is something the staff is aware of and from conversations with them, they are actively working to make better. Can't wait for our next cruise with Disney Cruise Line!
This cabin provided the perfect space for our family of four with one three year old and one 8 month old with plenty of room left over that we could have slept more! The split bathroom was very nice and the tub addition was so helpful to bathe children in! I particularly enjoyed the thick curtain that could be pulled to split the room to offer a bit more privacy when the kids were trying to nap.
Disney Cruise Line has something special at Castaway Cay! Cookie's BBQ is delicious and the food is very "americanized" so don't worry about picky eaters- there's something there for everyone! There is special Castaway Cay specific merchandise. If you don't have any excursions booked, don't worry- there is plenty to do on the island without planning excursions! Rent some snorkel gear and explore the fun sunken items in the lagoon. Don't forget to make a swim out to Pelican's Plunge- the water slides are so fun. My kids loved the splash pad also!
