We have done 10 Celebrity cruises going all the way back to the Horizon! We took this cruise because of the stop in Cartagena. Having never been there before and not having been able to go on vacation for 3 years, it seemed like a good time to get away and see something new.
We flew down a couple days early and stayed at the Hilton Marina. The view was ok, but the prices are ridiculous. The morning buffet was $31.00pp! The location makes it look like they are close to the cruise port, but it’s still a 30min drive due to lights and traffic. You need to take an Uber or Lyft to go pretty much anywhere, as there is not a lot around there. I’m Hilton Diamond and I won’t be staying there again.
Embarkation was a breeze! Do everything online prior to your arrival and arrive within the time frame you’ve chosen and you should be in your cabin within 30min of arrival. That being said, we only had 1200 pax on board and our cabin steward told us they were using alternate cabins each week. Made it nice not having someone on either side of us.
Cabin Review
Concierge Class 2
Standard concierge class. The only issue was the minibar which we requested to be emptied, did not really keep anything cold. We had to request an ice bucket. I had forgotten how small the showers were. Lots of storage if you weren’t planning on a new outfit every night. Our cabin steward Alvito was great.
