As a first time cruisers aboard the Thomson Dream, i can only reiterate previous reviews - this dream holiday was an absolute nightmare!

The stench did hit you as soon as you boarded the ship and only got stronger throughout the cruise, as the sewerage leaks just got worse. Plastic sheeting and buckets were everywhere collecting waste, by now the smell of ammonia was breathtaking! These problems affected cabins as well. I unfortunately had the disgusting experience of waste coming back up through the drain in the bathroom. I would add I was actually using the hairdryer at the time.

The standard in the bathroom and the cabin, which was an outside plus, was really poor and definitely not 5star. Stained furniture, bathroom fixtures and fittings were so worn the base metal and rust was exposed. The carpet was also stained and wet. Engineers came to fix the heating/air conditioning and informed us that we had had the last spare part and that they could not keep up with the all the problems because of lack of parts and the volume of repairs needed.
