We chose this cruise because we had to use a FCC from 2 years ago when our cruise was cancelled. We originally chose Oceania because of all the "hype" on outstanding cuisine and service and the Itinerary. This was our first time on Oceania and we had very high expectations. We have cruised about 20 times prior on Celebrity, Holland, Carnival, Princess and Viking.

The food on Oceania was average at best and if you didn't dine in one of the Specialty Restaurants, the food in the Main Dining Room was AWFUL. We never ate at the Buffet for dinner but frequented the Breakfast and lunch Buffets with limited selections. Nothing compared to Celebrity Cruise Line's abundant selections. Limited Staff served us at the buffets. The best lunch was at the Waves Grill outside (although you could not stand outside in line to order your food without your mask on). They had a great surf and turf sandwich made to order as well as cubans, burgers, etc.

The Red Ginger and Jacques were our favorites for dinner followed by Toscana's and then the Polo Grill.
