Sail Date: Feb 2022

I chose this cruise as i wished to see first hand the northern lights. They appeared on two nights and the captain alerted your cabin immediately.

I had recommendation from people who had completed the coastal voyage on post ships. This cruise was definitely an “expedition” you need to be fit to attempt the hiking programmes and be aware of what it may be like to kayak and paddle board in arctic waters. The North Sea was rough outbound and return trip..maybe a little more advice on how to deal with possible seasickness which some people experienced badly.

Port arrival ties were not always satisfactory eg 3 pm .. as in winter it was going dark a few hours later.

Cabin Review

Adequate single bed/s …comfortable.

Drawers wardrobe etc sufficient space

Fresh linen and towels

Green tag meant that linen wasn’t changed or bed made

Great heated bathroom floor.

Any Washing dries easily

Chose a cabin mid ships in case of force9 gales and heavy seas!
