Background: My husband and I are from Indiana, ages 43 and 44; no children and we currently reside in Charlotte, NC. I have been on 10 cruises, and he’s been on 6. We’ve sailed with Celebrity, Carnival, Princess, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. Our most recent cruise was in February of 2020. The goal of this cruise was just to relax so we had nothing booked in any ports.

We flew from Charlotte to Miami on February 13th. We used the Royal Caribbean transfer from MIA to the port. It was easy to find and it didn’t take long to go from the airport to the cruise port. Our shuttle was only about ½ full. Once arriving at the port, we handed our bags to the porter and then made our way into the terminal. We had to present our negative COVID test first, then we went upstairs to “check in”. Check in was very fast – no lines or waiting. Same with security – no line at all! It was quite a change from the last time we had cruised. After security, we went to our last check in area and then we were able to board the Oasis. The entire process took maybe 10 minutes.
