Chose this cruise as our reintroduction to cruising following Covid shutdown and weren't disappointed.
Carnival offered precruise Covid testing in the terminal (reservation required) in Port Canaveral for $10pp. The testing was quick and efficient and we were set to sail in minutes. Check in was a bit of a wait but expected since our check in window was among the first for boarding. Upon boarding everyone was told cabins would be available at 1:30 but because of our VIFP status we could take our bags to our cabin to drop them off. Later, before 1:30, they announced that cabins were available to guests. Bar service was kind of slow on embarkation but also expected since this was also the first cruise back for many and people definitely wanted to get their cruise started! This problem resolved itself after departure. Ship looks pretty good and everything was in working order in our cabin (1102). Our cabin attendant was excellent. Note: A change from previous cruises was they only clean or tidy the cabin once per day. No turn down service was provided. Don't worry, you'll still get a towel animal each day! We are big fans of the Steakhouse and chose to eat there each evening. Excellent service and great food. After booking we discovered that the Chef's Table would be offered so moved there for the second night of the cruise. Having experienced the Chef's Table on previous cruises we wondered if they might have changed the menu and can happily report that they have. Only 10 people at the Chef's Table on our voyage. Did not see any shows while onboard so can't comment on the entertainment. Also stayed onboard in Nassau so also can't comment on going ashore. Returning to Cape Canaveral was painless (except the early wake up) and we were off the ship and through customs/immigration in minutes. Carnival uses a new facial recognition system and it definitely speeds things up! We can safely say that we enjoyed being back at sea and are already planning our next voyage.
This cabin is a balcony cabin on the highest deck and most forward on the ship.
