After reading reviews on here about the Thomson Dream i was not looking forward to our holiday. I need not have worried. We have just returned after 2 weeks on the Thomson Dream. We had a fantastic time. Firstly the staff were outstanding. Most of them from the Phillipines, so polite and friendly. We never had to wait for a drink they were at your table as soon as your glass was empty. The entertainment was first class especially in the theatre. We ate in the Sirens restaurant for breakfast and the waiter serviced Orion restaurant in the evening the food was first class especially in the Orion. Yes the plates and cups were melamine in the buffet restaurants but they were not dirty and scratched they were immaculate and as people often took them onto the pool deck this was sensible. Our cabin was a standard outside cabin on deck 7 and it was large with a settee area. We had our towels changed twice daily and the sheets changed often. It was kept immaculate. The cleanliness of the whole ship was first class. We had to report a fault with our safe once and this was rectified within 15 minutes. Yes there is a problem at times with the plumbing in the public toilets they become blocked by the sheer amount of people that use them but these were soon sorted. I think when Thomson's first took over this ship they inherited a lot of Costa's problems but they are on top of them now. There was no sewerage smell at all on the ship when we were on it.I hope this review helps people who have holidays booked on the Dream.
