We had wanted to go to Antarctica for years and after 42 years of childcare (our own 5 boys plus 59 foster childre), it was time to celebrate and just be the two of us!

The cruise was a fantastic treat in every way. It was a huge adventure each day, exploring new places we had only dreamed about. The food was outstanding and varied, especially considering we were in the Antarctic! The expedition team and staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We were super blessed and spoilt!! We landed at two different places each day and the places were well chosen, very varied. Due to weather conditions in Antarctica and South Georgia, we sometimes had to go to Plan B but that was never second best. The lectures and workshops in the Science Centee were fascinating and we learned and experienced a lot of new understanding of the area, both geographically and historically as well as a scientifically . We were even invited to get involved in some Citizen Scirnce surveys of whales and birds. It was a privilege!
