I am a platinum member having sailed Princess several times. On this occasion I found Princess to be struggling to deliver post pandemic as it seems to have cut back on staff thus standard of service. By example first night in the restaurant I was served raw centred chicken and this was quickly whisked away without any great concern for the risk such a mistake can cause health wise. Our cabin was cleaned daily but not to the standard or attention to detail that was demonstrated in my opinion pre Covid. We were visited once a day by the Steward but it seemed to be a very fleeting tidy of the main area without attention to detail. By example our waste bin went six days before being emptied until I took it from under the dressing table and placed it next to the front door. Our shower curtain had several hairs on it when we took up residence and they were still there when we departed the cabin. Entertainment onboard was extremely limited with little in the way of a resident entertainment troupe but instead two very American comedians that performed several nights over the voyage. This may have been because of COVID but no explanation was given. Princess has introduced Medallion.Net since my last voyage and whilst I can see it being a great tool once it is refined it appeared to be rushed into use due to circumstances and people often couldn't get on it as it was 'down' meaning you couldn't book restaurants etc easily thereby detracting from the relaxed laidback days a cruise is supposed to bring. Finally the ship seemed very dated, several bars and entertainment areas weren't even staffed but on the plus side it was nice that the ship was only 60% occupied so it was more comfortable to live onboard. It appeared as though the ships appearance hadn't been maintained during COVID times and thus they were trying to rejuvenate it whilst at sea with paying customers onboard. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed my cruise but much of it was not down to the delivery of standards by Princess on this occasion but rather the ports of call.

Cabin Review

Interior

I did like the lay out and size of the cabin but clearly Princess haven't hand picked the best of their previous staff in some cases to come back on board. Our cabin Steward seemed more intent on looking busy rather than being busy but it stood out!

Port Reviews

Ensenada

I was very disappointed with Ensenada. It seems very downtrodden and not at all as I expected. It was not unsafe as an environment but little to attract the cruiser/traveller in my opinion.
