Atlas managed to overcome significant logistical hurdles to provision and equip our cruise to Antarctica. Suppliers in Ushuaia have dried up since the pandemic and this created a real challenge to get everything the cruise needed to get underway. Atlas did a great job maintaining a COVID-19 "bubble" for all passengers and everyone appreciated the care and attention paid to safety. Atlas chartered a direct flight from Orlando to Ushuaia which was great!!

The key to an Antarctic Expedition is the Expedition Team - and Atlas did not disappoint. The entire team was enthusiastic, educational and really exuded a love for the continent.

Overall - Atlas succeeded in delivering a Luxe Antarctic Expedition. Traveler's need to be aware this is not a "cruise" in the conventional sense (casinos, fruity drinks, entertainment) but rather a real expedition which requires flexibility (landings are weather and ice dependent). It also requires passengers who are willing to engage and rough it a bit in order to get the full benefit of the experience. If your expectation is for 5 star service and fine dining while seeing Antarctica from your cabin window - this is not the cruise for you.

Cabin Review

Horizon Cabins are a good size with adequate storage. Showers are the best I have seen on a ship of this type and heads were well sized. Beds are rather firm (so if you like that - you are in luck),
