First, the Captain and crew were very good. The Captain regularly and calmly kept the passengers up to date on the number of COVID cases (both passenger and crew), and every officer and crew member we encountered during the voyage was very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. Service both in making up our room, to the pool deck, and dining room was very good and at times exceptional (a term we reserve for the times when it is very much deserved).

We liked the size of the ship as it was fairly easy to get around from one activity to another during the day and evenings. We were a bit disappointed in the variety of the entertainment. The 4th Element was an incredible exception, as they are perhaps the best Cover Band we have ever seen, and they are exceptional musicians. The Jazz band was fine, and the main entertainment was okay (if we have the 4th Element to listen to why do we need to listen to another guy on the piano?). The evening piano was okay, but the times she was playing seemed to be limited, so she was often wrapping up a short set stating a return for later. We are not experts on playing time vs. needed break time, so it may not be a good thing to have longer playing sessions. However, if possible we would prefer to listen to someone play for an hour or more, and we found the short playing sessions often frustrating. For the main entertainment, what we hoped to see was some variety in the evening shows, perhaps a small group of 2 to 4 people who could do some fun tunes and sketches.

The service from the Customer Service staff was very good as well. We also liked the atmosphere they have been able to create between passengers and crew, it is really well done and would not be possible if they did not know how to hire outstanding people.

Cabin Review

Club Oceanview Stateroom

We had a Window View room and it was very nice. We normally will pay a bit extra for a balcony, but it was an additional $1,000+ for this particular cruise (each), and to be honest, the window was good enough. Lots of space under the bed for luggage, which I like as I also use my luggage as drawer storage. The bathroom was nice, shower small (very) but workable, beds and pillows were comfortable. The sofa was okay, but the coffee table lacked the ability to elevate. We don't normally like eating with a plate in our laps, so this made it difficult to get room service which we tried only once. A coffee table with the ability to raise/lower it would make a huge difference. Decent amount of drawer/closet space.

Port Reviews

Barbados

Best run government in the Caribbean. People are VERY NICE! Cars stopped to let us cross a street, even in busy downtown. If I had one island to pick in the Caribbean it would be Barbados followed by St. Lucia. For comparison, Nassau in the Bahamas is first on my list of places to avoid.
