The absolutely worst cruise ever and we booked two full weeks, doing two 7 day cruises back to back.
It took us 2+ hours to board due to repetitive CV testing, being herded through 100+ degree, non air conditioned tents standing shoulder to shoulder with people. For whatever reason, my husbands group kept having to be retested while my son and I had to sit and wait.
Our room was ok. Ocean view. Nothing spectacular. We never met our cabin crew member the entire 2 weeks. No introduction. Never spoke to us ever. The first week a bag of laundry was $19.99, the second week it was $29.99. So crazy. Every single activity was a money grab. Even the trivia was horrible. The questions were things like "What NCL cruiseship visits ____?" or something like that. All about marketing their cruises. Seriously? We're already booked on the cruise...does the selling every stop? (no)
Cabin Review
Never met our steward in 2 weeks time. Our room was cleaned (thankfully) but there was nothing special. The window was dirty most of the time and with low visibility, not that it was his fault. The beds were average. I wanted a balcony but was never sent an upgrade invitation which was really strange. I went to the front desk asking to upgrade and they said it would be something like $5000 to upgrade for the three of us. Seriously? So crazy. Especially on a 60% occupancy cruise.
I will avoid NCL cruises like the plague. I have learned my lesson.
