Vegan menu is excellent. Our needs were met for every meal.

Fram 23 day cruise offered the opportunity for expeditions on the Antarctica Continent, South Georgia and the Falklands including the Chilean Fiords. This hit everything we wanted to see. However, due to having active Covid cases on board during our cruise, which was quickly quarantined and maintained, we were unable to go to the Falkland islands as they did not consider us a green ship at the time. The crew of the Fram made up for this by taking us below the polar circle for a more enriched itinerary than we could have dreamed of experiencing.

They made sure we had plenty of shore landings in multiple places including a special landing on the continent for those just released from quarantine, through a sea of ice to let them achieve standing on the continent. The expedition crew listened and they did everything they could to please all guests.

We are vegan and the menu was delicious for all meals. If we didn’t like the dish they had, we could ask for the sides of the other dishes and concoct a healthy meal.

Cabin Review

Fram is an older ship, but its original design still works well for small expedition cruises. We had two in our cabin in twin beds, with a large square window providing lots of light on deck 5. We would have preferred a single bed, but didn’t want to pay the extra. There was plenty of space for our clothes, boots, luggage and landing gear. It was great having a hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner in the cabin along with a refrigerator. The public space and restaurant are very nice and comfortable. You don’t get much time in your cabin with all the activities on the agenda so it will work well for you.
