I wanted to write this review, as largely there are limited new reviews on this ship and the past reviews are pretty critical. First my wife and I have been only probably 60 or so cruises, Royal, Norwegian, Carnival, Celebrity, etc. so I do have a bit of experience with ships. This is my first cruise with MSC. MSC is well capitalized and is the world's largest cargo ship Company. Point is they have the cash in their balance sheet to weather these last two years.

The ship is absolutely stunning hands down. Super clean and well polished. Very large, but not too large like the Oasis of the Seas. So if you are reading this you may be in the middle of OMICRON wondering what the protocols are. Simply put you need to be fully vaccinated (no booster needed, but recommended). You need a negative Covid-19 Antigen test within 48 hours of sailing. Remember the Antigen test is a swab of your nose...results in 15 min. So if you sail on Thursday test needs done Tuesday or Wed. You also need your original Vaccination card....not a copy.

Everything was in order that day we sailed. You are supposed to show up at your scheduled time so you don't have to wait. At this point, don't worry so much about your scheduled time as occupancy on this ship is low and they did not even look at our scheduled time, even though we were there pretty much on our scheduled time. At this point MSC takes over, COMPLETELY organized! Put this green band on, go to the next step, get a sticker with your name etc. and sit down. Unannounced they advised we are being tested again at the port at their cost. We proceed to be tested again, told to sit for 20 minutes and staff comes over with their computer and if negative you are ready to get your photo taken, passport, etc and then on your way to board the ship. Again they were totally organized and well planned in getting passengers on the ship. Can't get any better than testing 30 min. before boarding. We felt very comfortable boarding.

Cabin Review

Was in A standard balcony with the largest balcony I have ever seen. The balcony was almost as large as the room. Bathrooms are tiny, but work. Room storage is lacking on this ship. Stocked refrigerator. Beautiful room state of the art key system with digital thermostat.

Port Reviews

Nassau

Nassau is nassau, been there a million times. You must wear your mask outside inside all the time. Got off the ship and walked around....just nice to get off.
