We booked this cruise - and then booked the following on (back 2 back). 1) HATED the Medallion thing till we got onboard. I really think they have to work on the technology. My husband and I both have the same phone...it liked his phone, not mine. The masking was at times a pain. We arrived JUST IN TIME for the Omnicron new measures. When we booked it was masks at embarkation and disembarkation, elevators, casino & tight areas. It went to ANY TIME INSIDE UNLESS EATING OR DRINKING. I only really had problems in the theatre. Not enough AC to feel like you can breath. 1st cruise we only had 1500 passengers and 2nd 1400. All other cruise lines we ran into it was the same. Less than 1/2 full. That was an experience we'll probably never have again!! They have cut back in places. If you go to breakfast in the dining room, you don't get a big menu but a piece of paper with 2 daily specials and then basics. I asked for eggs benedict (was told I could, just had to wait) and it came with a cheese sauce (sparingly applied) not hollandaise. They offered 2 omelettes on the paper. Ham/cheese or mushroom. I asked for cheese w/ my mushroom omlette...by the time they were getting around to serving me, hubby was done, so I turned it back. Dinner was a breeze because of so few people on the ship. We ended up w/ the same servers almost the entire time...so that was nice. Little to no entertainment. We had a cruise band (Project 5) that were simply AWESOME. They should be headliners, not a cruise band. They had a few headliners throughout each cruise. The only main show was "BRAVO" which is pretty much the same as it was in 2018. No other main extravaganzas...besides, it was too hot in the room anyway. The "piano man" was quarantined for the first 5 days of the 1st cruise...his stand in was some lady who basically just played piano. As you can tell, they need to up their game some. Am I happy I went? Yes...after 2 years of cancelled vacations...but again, cruising is back...kinda. OH WAIT! I forgot something. 1/6 - sail date we were in bed (11ish) and the captain comes on the horn to tell us we were TURNING THE SHIP AROUND because of an ill passenger. We were 6 hours out! In all my years I have NEVER seen this, nor had anyone else on board. Hello...medivac at some point? So in the end we got to Aruba at 1:30pm instead of 8:00am which meant we got screwed out of Aruba. AMAZING!
Same as always. Bed was comfy, room clean, bathroom was smaller than I remembered. Great size closet
It seems to be a nice place to visit...may go back again. Unfortunately we got there so late (130pm) we saw very little
Very pretty island. We took a snorkel trip to see the sunken tugboat. Nice fish sighting!
What a GEM!!! We took the Seacow snorkel trip. They were probably the best snorkel trip I have ever taken. A few were not happy with their safety precautions, but then others actually took our cruise so they could take this excursion again. I was EXTREMELY happy and saw a TON of fish!
