red to cruise?? I had to give you my two cents…
We spent the last 12 days on a Celebrity cruise to the Caribbean. Even I had some doubts before we boarded. I have to tell you it was incredible and we felt incredibly well cared for and safe the entire journey.
I’m sure destinations matter… but every island we visited was over the top with safety. We were diverted from St Croix to St Maarten, which was a pleasant win. Temperature checks at most ports. Hand sanitizers and wall mounted temp checks in most stores. Many ports passengers were not allowed to walk off without cruise excursion to keep the “Celebrity bubble”. Crew haven’t left ship in three months to keep cases minimized. Every passenger 2 shot vaccinated. Sanitizers everywhere. Masked required indoors. Only 1 child on board.
Had a fantastic excursion to tour the island and have some beach time. Loved the dockyards and expecially their almost hidden bakery!
St Croix did not allow ships into port so we were directed to St Maarten . Shopping here was fabulous and it was our favorite port on the trip. Should replace St across permanently!
It always seems we land in Barbados on Sundays. Due to this many things are closed for religious reasons. We booked the submarine excursion. It was fabulous! My husband dives but I don’t even swim— so it gave him something to see and for me to enjoy first hand. This excursion was very well operated. Highly recommended.
Not much to do in Dominica. Port didn’t allow us to freely roam so just checked out the little run of shops. Very conscientious for temp
checks upon arrival. Kind locals. Some nice locally made goods to purchase.
Love Grenada. Your booked as shore excursion was tour of island. Lady tour guide was thorough and delightful. Enjoyed the fort!
St Kitts is such a small place but lovely with the locals. Enjoyed some shopping near the pier and having been there before headed back to sun deck to tan the rest of the day.
Love St Lucia! We married here years ago so it’s always lovely to come back. This port required an excursion to get off boat unless just shopping the local shops. So we did just that. Shops were thee most conscientious of COVID. Every store required hand sanitizing to enter. Some even had wall mounted temperature check machines to allow entry. Polite locals. Nice wares.
