Cabin:

We just had a river cruise with the Tauck on Ms Grace - Christmas Markets from Amsterdam to Brussels on December 6th 2021.

And we had the best experience ever!

It was not our first river cruise, we had done one before with Adventures by Disney. And I find these two companies comparable both by price and by the level of experience offered. We chose Tauck for the itinerary, as no one other company offered this itinerary.

Cabin Review

We booked one of the less expensive cabin - the loft one, as we really liked the layout and thought the lower deck was not such a big deal for a winter, as most of the sailing would be done in the dark anyways. Actually this cabin design is so great, that we didn't even experience much of the view obstruction, and were able to get an ultimate river cruise delight - when you seat nicely on the ship and watch the river landscapes go by. We didn't have a balcony, but there was a HUGE window we could open at the top. As it was winter, we hardly opened it at all. But the huge window with elevated sitting area was great for sailing and watching!

Overall the cabin layout was extremely efficient. We had plenty of storage, and were able to hide all our three suitcases under the bed - pretty impressive! The bathroom was big enough as the footage of the cabin was on par with more expensive cabins, it's just the layout was different, and really even better than with other cabins!

The loft cabin would be my favorite forever. But it did feel like it was somewhat noisy - due to a lower deck specifically. You have a noise from the water hitting metal of the ship, as the parts with the bathroom and the bed itself are literally under the water level. The bathroom was dreadfully cold at all times, again - probably due to the direct contact of the wall with the river water. And you also get to hear ALL the bathrooms on the ship - at least it felt like this :))))

But overall we got adjusted and still were getting adequate sleep through the night. As we were getting tired from the great excursions by Tauck we ere doing during the day :)
