Ideal cruise for a winter break, but we were not informed of the much reduced recreational facilities before we boarded. On board costs are eye-wateringly expensive, but staff were friendly and attentive. However, some staff had self modified face masks, which were open at the bottom. Also, the dining room tables were too close and the Theatre seats had little social distancing. Our only ship organised trip, in Lanzarote, was on bus that was poorly ventilated, without the usual cruise staff in attendance. Even though we followed all on board guidelines to the letter, we left the ship with COVID. We paid a lot for this cruise, as one would expect from Cunard, but the value for money was not evident. We have travelled 6 times previously with Cunard, but this is the first time we have been so disillusioned, with the arrangements. Finally, unlike other cruises, we have not been given the opportunity to provide feedback direct to Cunard.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Excellent.

Port Reviews

Excellent promenade, just a short walk through the capital, La Palma.

Madeira (Funchal)

Excellent. Catch the yellow hop on, hop off and marvel at the fishing village at stop 14.
