The fabulous crew on this ship takes the cake and wins the most points for this cruise! The core entertainment staff really rocked! Even with the lower numbers of passengers, they kept up their enthusiasm and energy and tried to get everyone involved in all activities. They also made efforts to get to know the passengers which made this cruise feel much more intimate than others I have been on. Our room stewards and dining crew staff took meticulous care of us and the entire crew on board made it a point to keep the ship spotless and germ free, while consistently sending warm greetings to passengers they crossed paths with.
Even though this is an older ship (no smart technology to connect passengers through the MSC app), you would not know it by the looks of public spaces. There are hardly any signs of wear and tear and all rooms glittered with style. Carpets and sofas were vacuumed several times a day. Our balcony cabin, including the bathroom, was immaculate and quite spacious. This cruise line does an amazing job keeping everyone COVID safe.
The food in the formal dining room could be improved, especially in the dessert department. Quite a number of kid activities were cancelled due to a low number of children in attendance, which was a disappointment to the kids who did show up. Evening shows were a hit or miss. Although the many trivia events were fun, I would also have liked to see more of a variety of activities.
We had a balcony cabin at the back of the ship. Other than the loud rumblings of the engines while ship was parking, everything else about the cabin was perfect!
